TOP 3 MURALS IN MADISON, WISCONSIN
I love looking for cool pieces of art when I travel, especially murals that shine light on the city or state, and of course, offer a good photo op. During a quick trip to visit friends in Madison, Wisconsin, I found three awesome murals that are worth some attention.
#1
Although I was only in Madison for a few days, to me this mural really captures what the city is all about. From the capitol building, to the infamous colorful chairs at Memorial Union Terrace to Badgers football, by the end of the trip I had seem them all. You can find this mural, along with #3, in the Hilldale Shopping Center (726 N Middle Blvd, Madison, WI 53705).
#2
This one was my favorite simply because of the vibrant colors. I also appreciated the festive setup. This mural was meant for photos! And in case you were wondering, my matching outfit was a total coincidence. You can find this one at 2526 Monroe Street, Madison, WI 53711.
#3
This mural portrays the city’s skyline and is very patriotic. If you think it looks similar to #1, I agree! They were painted by the same artist and are located in the same shopping center. I like to think they are sister murals. Unfortunately, the sunlight creates a shadow of the lamppost, but it’s still a great piece of art with tremendous detail. You can find this mural, along with #1, in the Hilldale Shopping Center (726 N Middle Blvd, Madison, WI 53705).
Shoutout to the talented artists who created these murals. The detail is amazing and the artwork brings a fun element to the city. I hope you have yourself a little mural scavenger hunt the next time you’re in Madison.
